About
Your active little one will participate in a yoga play group full of itsy-bitsy poses, movement games, songs, story-telling and breathing, along with lots of laughter and joy! Toddlers are ready to move and play and the class will give them a chance to learn about their bodies, stimulate their senses and have fun exploring creative poses with repetition in songs and games. The class will focus on letting each child have their own experience while allowing them to be playful and silly. During class, children will continue to develop their curiosity, stimulate their imagination, build a positive sense of self, engage in positive social interactions, and develop their body and breathing awareness. We will end every class with a short n' sweet relaxation to leave children with an inner sense of peace and calm that both children and parents can enjoy!
When to arrive:
15 minutes before
Additional details:
Children have to be fully walking in order to participate since certain poses and games will require basic coordination and balancing. Parents/caregivers are welcome and encouraged to participate, but not required. Please refrain from eating in the studio. Children should wear comfortable clothing that they can move easily in and bring water.

Michelle Timek Yoga is a yoga studio in downtown Jersey City offering a variety of classes, including vinyasa (flow), pre/postnatal and kids' yoga. Workshops in childbirthing preparation, therapeutic yoga, reiki and restorative, as well as other styles of yoga are also offered.

MTY's approachable and intuitive style of practice focuses on movement, rather than posing or posturing. You get to be in charge of doing what feels great every time you practice. Each movement made is guided by the breath, so it feels natural, rhythmic and organic. Since every person is unique, every person's movement is also unique. This is great news for everyone, especially for those new to practicing yoga.

This freedom of movement gives individuals the opportunity to truly be aware, listen, connect and feel into one's self — safely and easily, without force or strain — in any given moment or situation.
