This is a special FREE online class presented by KidPass Live Stage (http://kidp.as/live). KidPass Live Stage is a free livestream series that is open for the community and showcases many of the incredible classes and instructors on KidPass.
We sing songs in Spanish to introduce your child to the language or to motivate your child to sing in their language (for Spanish speaking children). We don't expect your child to learn Spanish from the program alone, but what we do expect is for them to develop an interest in the language later in life. We do this through singing, counting and repeating words.
Note that as a KidPass Live Stage performance, this class and your participation may be posted on KidPass social media. Since it is formatted for a large audience, there will be limited instructor interaction. If you enjoy the class, please visit the instructor's KidPass page where you can find other class offerings and formats including small-group, interactive classes. When you take my class I encourage all parents to fully participate --remember if they see that you find it entertaining most likely they'll read your cues and will mimic your enthusiasm. It's also useful to have handy streamers, scarves, an instrument (drum, tambourine, shakers, bells diy too check my Instagram page for ideas : Clap con Carmen) and bubbles.

Hola. I'm Carmen, founder of Clap con Carmen. I am a busy mom of a very active toddler and she was and has been the biggest inspiration behind this program.
I began my journey as a teacher at Outside the Box (OTB), an educational and brain development program for infants and toddlers. I was a regular mom, just like the rest of the moms sitting on the floor around the room. I was blown away when I experienced the amazing program that it was. I learned so much about my child because of it and it became such a joy to see how much moms and kids alike loved the quality of time that was being spent with one-another. So, one day OTB sent out their newsletter where I learned that the center was offering training for those interested in becoming teachers. A few months later; I took the training and became a teacher.
A year later, due to the pandemic, OTB was forced to close its doors, and sadly I lost my job-- like many others. Then, something magical happened; moms who took my classes reached out. They wanted me to continue teaching even if it was online. Because of legal and ethical reasons, I couldn't teach the program I taught at OTB, then a friend suggested that I should put my Spanish and teaching skills into a program. After some brain-storming and lots of music Clap con Carmen was born. My clients love it and their kids too and I am beyond grateful and thankful that you are allowing me into your home even if it's virtually so that I can bring this program where I am truly putting my heart into. It is my pleasure that you are trusting me to teach your child something.
