About Hopalong Andrew (at Brooklyn Music School)
Hopalong Andrew’s interactive music and movement classes are geared towards babies and toddlers with an eye towards all-age enjoyment (i.e., grown-ups enjoy them too!). He rewrites the classic cowboy and folk songs to reflect life as an urban cowpoke. His built-in activities (such as “The Cozy Corrall,” “The Barndance,” “The Train Ride,” and “The Campfire”) encourage participation and interaction, and create a fun and positive space for music, movement and rhythm training, and vibrant social interaction. Hopalong Andrew is a 1-man band, playing guitar, banjo, harmonica, and his suitcase drum kit. He brings his big saddle bag of interactive supplies and disco lights. An all-Americana good time is guaranteed!

Hopalong Andrew is a fixture of the New York City family music scene and regularly appears at curated events such as Summerstage NYC, Fort Greene Park, Brooklyn Public Library, Bryant Park, Hudson Park, East River State Park, Brooklyn Historical Society, and more. Hopalong Andrew has received press from Time Out, ABC TV, CBS New York, and others, and has earned the praise from the praise from the parenting blogosphere.
