About NYC Bhangra Dance Company (at Ripley Grier Studios)
Bhangra is a great way for kids to learn movement and dance. It blends traditional and modern elements and is a great way to develop self-expression and camaraderie within the group. With a combination of Bollywood/Bhangra music in the class-work, we introduce kids to rhythm, basic movement and techniques in Indian folk & contemporary dance, including touches of Garba, Kathak and Jhummar.
We encourage our kids to showcase their talent on stage and provide them opportunities to shine in front of an encouraging audience.
