Editor’s Tip
Sloomoo comes from a funny thing slimers do on social media, where they say,“replace the vowels of your name with ‘oo’ and that is your slime name.” Slime = Sloomoo!
About Sloomoo Institute
Sloomoo Institute, located in the SoHo area of Manhattan, New York, is a sensory playground and pop-up experience centered around slime—an artistic universe made to intrigue, delight, and evoke your inner child. More than a childhood memory or satisfying social media trend, slime is artful, oozy fun also known to support stress relief. In this part-installation, part-STEM program, Sloomoo Institute brings together exhibits, interactions, sensory experiences...and, of course, a whole lot of fun. There's a DIY slime bar (at which you can create the slime of your dreams!), fiberglass sculptures that serve as a vessel for slime for you to play with, and slime works by artists like Jillian Mayer, Jen Catron and Paul Outlaw.

Guests who are eligible to be vaccinated (those who are 5-years-old and up) must be vaccinated to to enter. We will be checking proof of vaccination upon entrance. Our visitors must have their Paper Vaccination Card or show proof through the NYS Excelsior Pass (or another pass that is verified as a Vaccine Pass).
Masks will also be mandated for those who are vaccinated, as we want to keep everyone safe. Hand washing stations are available upon arrival and we offer alcohol wipes throughout and by all slime - our saying: "wipe before you slime."
We are disinfecting surfaces through the day and we also have an HVAC air system.
