Nasma of New York

Nasma of New York is a space in Chelsea, Manhattan, NYC where anyone can come to learn about the Middle Eastern culture and language without engaging in religion or politics. Nasma offers classes for both adults and kids, ranging in topics from Arabic private classes to kids group classes to cooking classes to dabke dance classes to oud and tabla music classes. Nasma of New York helps children develop creativity, intellect, and broaden their view of the world by creating a space where cultural activities (from arts to language) are shared. Founder and ex-pat Carol Haidar has more than 9 years of teaching experience, and created Nasma of New York to introduce the beauty of the Arab World to children and positively impact today’s youth through education and acceptance.
