About The Tech Interactive
The Tech Interactive, colloquially known as the Tech Museum, is a family-friendly science and technology center in the heart of Silicon Valley in downtown San Jose, California. Their hands-on activities, experimental labs and design challenge experiences empower people of all ages to innovate with creativity, curiosity and compassion. The Tech Interactive is especially known for its 280-seat IMAX Dome Theater where you’ll see, hear and feel more, with the world’s first laser projector for a dome theater, 9,000+ square feet of wraparound image and 13,000 watts of digital surround sound. Offerings from renowned filmmaking companies like National Geographic and MacGillivray Freeman educate and entertain, with adventure and drama unfolding via IMAX’s trademark visual clarity and sound quality. The Tech Interactive also is home to traveling exhibits that foster curiosity, community-mindedness and wonder.
