Editor’s Tip
For us, it is exciting to see the impact that museums can have in the lives of our youngest learners. Not only are children exposed to art, history, and science of their own culture, but they also are able to gain an understanding of our global society.

About Smithsonian Early Enrichment Center
Welcome to the Smithsonian Early Enrichment Center (SEEC) We offer a rich learning environment for children, parents, and teachers in our community while at the same time sharing our innovative practices with professionals in schools and museums across the country.

Our workshops offer a variety of hands-on experiences that introduce young children to concepts in engaging ways. Each class includes playful activities that are intentionally chosen to support your child’s development. Our learning extends beyond the classroom and into the museum where children and parents are encouraged to wonder and explore together as a family. To learn more about how we teach and why, see below.
