Kew Kids Forest School

Kew Kids Forest School, located next to Forest Park in Kew Gardens/North Richmond Hill, is a forest school modeled after the nature preschool movement that began in Europe and has more recently spread to the U.S. Through multi-sensory explorations and cooperative play, our program aims to cultivate in young children a love of the outdoors, hone a sense of wonder and provide healthy challenges that instill confidence, capability, and self-reliance. Our mix age, inquiry-based emergent approach offers outdoor play experiences, such as building a fort or digging a channel between two puddles, and opportunities to practice the social and intellectual skills of planning, problem-solving, decision-making, and collaboration. We offer both full day as well as half day drop-off options.

We discover in all seasons and weather. Gear and appropriate clothing help prolong year-round enjoyment.
