songs for seeds (at Central Park East)

songs for seeds is a rockin’ music program for kid’s newborn to 5 years old. It was created in 2008 by the owners of New York's renowned indoor play space company, apple seeds. songs for seeds has already engaged thousands of NYC children, and their families, through its completely unique and interactive curriculum. It has been named "Best Music Class" by New York Magazine, "Most Magical Music Class" by Red Tricycle, and this year, launched its national franchise program.

Teacher/musicians who encourage kids to sing, play instruments, and dance through a series of nine engaging musical activities. Each week the students experience music, instruments and language from a different culture. Magnetic art murals are created by the children during the sing-along of well-known nursery rhymes. Magic tricks are used to practice numbers and counting, and a wheel is spun to reinforce the names and sounds of animals. At the end of class, the children are invited to sing with the band (Karaoke style) and play the band’s instruments. Every kid (and their adults) go home singing all the songs for seeds tunes. It is the most fun you will have with your child in 45 minutes – all week!
