About Camp Olympia (at John Jay High School)
Register your child for a swim program at NYC's Camp Olympia. The Brooklyn-based program (for kids ages 6 months and up) is dedicated to helping children, teens and adults improve their pool skills in a safe, fun, and challenging athletic environment. This location, located at John Jay High School in Park Slope, holds classes for kids on Saturdays on Sundays. At Camp Olympia, moving up the ranks at Camp Olympia is fun and easy—the skill and age groups are themed around fish! Kids ages 6-19 months are "Water Angels," while kids 20 months to 36 months old are "Water Tots," while kids ages 3-5 are "Angelfish with Caregiver." Once kids are older than 6, classes are broken down by skill—Blue Marlins, for example, can swim a half-length independently. The John Jay HS location is also home to Camp Olympia's summer sports camp, in which they help children ages 4 to 12 improve their skills in soccer, basketball, baseball, swimming and volleyball. And, at Family Swim, everyone is welcome to come to family swim even if they do not currently swim with Camp Olympia.
