About Farmer Brown tha' MC (Online)
Greetings, I am Trevor Claiborn aka Farmer Brown Tha MC. As the son of a retired English and Home-Economics teacher, education has always been a cornerstone of my existence and a driver behind my life work.
I am an author, producer, songwriter, entertainer, environmental educator, extension professional, agriculturalist, youth program director and public speaker.
To date, I have presented about agriculture, diversifying agricultural and STEM fields, and creative youth engagement strategies to 10,000’s of youth across the country in person and virtual as well as co-founding an agro-tourism business Black Soil: Our Better Nature with my wife Ashley where we conduct farm tours and farm to table dinners centered around rural based Black farmers in Kentucky,
I have received recognition from the Central Kentucky Diversity Consortium, the Association of 1890’s Research & Development Research Symposium, and the Kentucky Association of Environmental Educators (KAEE).
I am a proud 2018 ee360 Green Fellow. I currently serve on the Principal's advisory Board at Locust Trace Agri-science center in Lexington, KY., and Governor Andy Beshear’s 2020 Agri-tech Council. I take my role in the environmental & educational space very serious and sharing my passion with young impressionable minds is my source of joy.
