About City Parks Foundation - SummerStage (at Rumsey Playfield)
SummerStage is the largest FREE performing arts festival in New York City. By presenting artists and genres that reflect the diverse cultures and communities in neighborhood parks across the five boroughs, we help to build new audiences and foster a broader interest in the arts.
This year, SummerStage is focused on family! In addition to our Central Park Family Day featuring indie-rock stars They Might Be Giants, we will also be hosting free family workshops in parks all around the city.

At CPF, we are dedicated to invigorating and transforming parks into dynamic, vibrant centers of urban life through sports, arts, community development, and education programs for all New Yorkers. Our programs and community building initiatives -- located in more than 350 parks, recreation centers, and public schools across New York City -- reach 425,000 people each year. Our ethos is simple: we believe thriving parks reflect thriving communities.
