About Teacher Cassandra Holloway (Online)
I have 14 years of experience teaching science, math, creative movement, and reading to young children. I am passionate and enthusiastic about what I do.
My philosophy is that I believe children learn best through exploring their environment. While learning and playing, children should always be given opportunities to ask questions, explore, experiment, think logically, and solve problems. My role as a teacher is to engage children in conversation, activities, and open-ended questions. I have learned through my experiences in working with children that each child's development is different. I conducted many observations and assessments to use these tools to plan age-appropriate activities based on the children's individual needs and interests.
Over the years, I have tutored children ages 3-8 (preschool-2nd grade) in Reading and Math. I assisted with homework and provided age-appropriate materials following the state's curriculum.
I have also enjoyed the opportunity of teaching children (ages 3-6) at summer camps:
• Amazing Animals
• Creative Movement
• Science is Fun
• Infinity and Beyond (Space)
• Imagination and Storytelling
Here is something fun about me: I have a cheerful personality, and I am creative.
