Teaching music is a truly fulfilling experience for Peter. It is an incredible feeling to see students improve to levels that they previously thought to be unattainable. As a teacher, he aims to help students realize the musicality that is inherent to all people, and tries to give them the tools and skills that they need to grow outside of class and fulfill their potential as musicians and human beings. In his teaching, Peter always encourages creativity and individuality whenever possible. He tries to make the musical experience as personal as possible for all students and often does this by encouraging improvisation, composition, and collaboration. Peter also aims to make students comfortable in a performance setting. This is not a very difficult task once a positive and non-judgmental environment is established.
