It took my 2 year old some time to warm up to it, but she enjoyed it by the end. (I enjoyed it myself — perfect weather, charming music, and small group.) At 2, she was on the older end of kids there.

At a Ramblin’ Dan music class, you'll hear everything from Rock ‘n’ Roll, Reggae, Funk, Hip Hop, Folk and Bluegrass. The music pulls from pop hits old and new, fun versions of well known kids' songs and Ramblin' Dan's original kids' music. Using the music to lead the way, your band leader will help your kids jam along on instruments, use various props for activities, read song-based books, learn sign language, do animal-play, and of course clap, dance and sing along.

BRING AN OUTDOOR BLANKET TO SIT ON • HOW TO FIND CLASS: Cross the West Side Highway at W 12th St. As soon as you cross, look left, and you will see a stretch of grass/lawn along the Hudson River. Sean will be on that lawn between W 12th St and Bethune St. The class will be held there under some shade. Look for Sean with a guitar, a blanket for the ground, and his kids' instruments. Depending on how crowded the park is, we may have to adjust our location slightly from day-to-day, but no matter what, class will be on that stretch of lawn on the river (around w12th St and Bethune st.)

He has done hundreds of parties and classes for Ramblin’ Dan’s Freewheelin’ Band in addition to teaching at other early childhood programs and doing private instruction for older kids too!
