Baby Fingers (Ages 5 - 18 Months) at Kids at Work

Learn American Sign Language through songs and play with other parents, caregivers, and children close to your child's age. After each class, children will go home with new vocabulary and tunes to enhance communication. Whether you intend to incorporate sign language in your life for the long term or simply during this pre-verbal/developing verbal time, watch in awe as your child discovers the world of language. See the research come to life, as music and sign language both aid in the development of language and literacy. Baby Fingers programs incorporate the research supporting the benefits of sign language at all ages and stages, for children with and without special needs. Stories, songs, games, and movement to music are included in the program's teaching methods.

This class is a good class but it’s really better for non-walkers. My 16month Old was much more interested in roaming around than participating.

Kids at Work is the only multi-subject center in the Chelsea neighborhood of NYC that features an entirely drop-in schedule, meaning that kids ages infant - 4 years old may attend any class, any time, in subjects like music, sensory art, movement, dance, soccer, yoga, sign language, and cooking! Kids at Work is a tightknit community, and oft-said to be one of Chelsea's best-kept secrets, as 80% of the clientele attend Kids at Work multiple times a week. Kids learn in a safe, process-oriented and child-choice driven environment, and there are helpful programs like the Gentle Separation Playgroup, where your kid can learn to safely separate, and the New Moms Talk Group, where you can meet and bond with other new moms like you! Kids at Work also offers summer camps and birthday parties. Drop in any time!
