Little Kids Yoga
Through playful movement, story telling, music, yoga games, and breathing exercises, younger children will gain the physical, emotional, and mental benefits of yoga. Repetition of fun, age-appropriate guided yoga sequences aim to exercise development of sensory, motor skills, and body awareness. Children will have opportunities for laughter, positive social interactions, and self-expression through cooperative games and artwork. Children will also learn about their breath, and how to use it as a tool for self-calming, relaxation, and increased focus skills. Every class will end with a chance for a brief quiet, calming rest, which can be a wonderful way to end the long day and transition back home.
When to arrive:
15 minutes before
Parents/caregivers must reamin at studio during class. Please refrain from eating in the studio. Children should wear comfortable clothing that they can move easily in and bring water.

Michelle Timek Yoga is a yoga studio in downtown Jersey City offering a variety of classes, including vinyasa (flow), pre/postnatal and kids' yoga. Workshops in childbirthing preparation, therapeutic yoga, reiki and restorative, as well as other styles of yoga are also offered.
Michelle is certified in Vinyasa, Pre/Postnatal and Strala Studio Intensive Training for Teachers (SIT) program. She leads various weekly group classes and specializes in Pre/Postnatal, Mommy & Baby and Geriatric yoga.
