Actors Technique NY (at Pearl Studios)
About
In this special one hour ATNY class elective, actors will learn the essentials of comedy performance through real life comedy scenes from Disney and Nickelodeon Shows. Actors will work closely with other actors and readers On-Camera and discover what makes a comedy scene work with script.
There’s a sense of fearlessness that is needed in comedy. There’s also a great need for improvisational skills. We strongly suggest taking ATNY’s Improvisation Class, as it will complement this comedy elective greatly. It will be about timing, repetitiveness, quick improv and the ability to understand the set up and punch of a joke, through words and lines. Slight physical comedy, mostly situational comedy.
ATNY is opening this elective up to all ages, kids and teens.
