About
Students must be in Kindergarten to attend this class. This class covers all the basics that you will need to safely enjoy our obstacle arena. Coaches will lead the class on a warm up, to fully prepare you for trying out a variety of ninja obstacles. Examples of obstacles that could be be included in the class are the angled steps, ring toss, devil steps, or salmon ladder. All introductory classes will end with a trip to our famed warped wall, with 3 possible heights to attempt. Coaches will demo all obstacles for you and spot you as you attempt all the obstacles provided in the class. The class ends with a quick cool down stretching session.

2010 was a first years as we celebrated the Grand Opening of Farmingdale Gymnastics Academy (FGA) the introduction of a brand new state of the art facility with a highly qualified and motivated staff. Our philosophy or mission is teaching gymnastics using a balanced approach. We will be mindful of the physical, emotional and mental development and health of our gymnasts as we create a fun and safe sports environment. Hard work and dedication from our staff of gymnastics coaches, along with FGA’s parents and athletes truly set the pace for our competitive teams and class gymnastics.

Editor’s Tip
Taryn comes to FGA with 16 years of coaching experience. Her passion is not only to teach gymnastics skills but lifelong lessons that the children will use into adulthood. She is also an aquatics director, pre-school teacher, athletic trainer, and personal trainer.
