Breakdancing teaches you the art of not only self-expression and history, but the ability to push your body in ways you’ve never moved. We will learn some basic top rocking, footwork, and freezes! We will explore the movement language of free-styling by learning to develop each person's unique flow. At the end of each class we will learn how to have a proper breakdancing battle. Only love and support on the dance floor. Let’s groove!
Arrive 15 minutes early, in order to find parking and sign-in. Students will not be admitted 10 minutes after the start time of class. Students who have reserved ahead of time may have their spot given away to someone on the wait list if they do not arrive 5 minutes BEFORE the start time of class.

Shira Yaziv and David Grace founded Athletic Playground in 2008 with the goal of offering an alternative to traditional gyms where experienced instructors would teach functional skills in a community-oriented, playful environment.
