Our Monuments and Memorials Sunset Bike Tour is the perfect way to take in the sites at night! It is completely different from our day time tours, getting closer to the Jefferson and FDR Memorials. This tour provides you with the opportunity to bike through the National Mall, visiting some of its best memorials. Have you ever tried to walk some the National Mall's top memorials? The Jefferson Memorial, the Lincoln, the Franklin Roosevelt, the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial? It can take an entire day, if not more! Our Monuments and Memorials Sunset Bike Tour makes it possible to visit them all in just three hours.
Concerned about riding bikes with your family in a city? Don't be! Fat Tire Tours has experience with riders of all ages. In fact, most tours have families on them already. There are kids bikes, trailers, baby seats, and tagalongs available for the children and the tour guides are masters at navigating groups around town with ease. In addition, the route has been carefully chosen with safety for riders of all ages in mind. Though there is some street riding (for just a few blocks), most of the tour takes place on dedicated bike lanes and wide pedestrian paths on the National Mall. And there is a dedicated guide on your tour to help navigate the Nation's Capital with ease!
