The 5 Elements of Earth - Martial Art of Aikido Class AND RAFFLE! - KidPass Live Stage

This is a special FREE online class presented by KidPass Live Stage (https://kidp.as/live). KidPass Live Stage is a free livestream series that is open for the community and showcases many of the incredible classes and instructors on KidPass.
Aikido is a super-fun and super-safe martial art. There are cool and interesting moves and techniques that we'll learn.
Since this week is Earth Week, we'll also be exploring the significance of the 5 Elements of earth from Japanese philosophy and how this philosophy ties in with the martial art of Aikido. AND we'll be having a raffle at the end of the class!
The Japanese elements are:
五大 GODAI means Five Great, with the elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Wind and Void.
地 Earth - The earth, ground. Resistance to movements. Stability.
水 - Water - Fluid, Liquid. Flexibility. Adaptability.
火 - Fire - Power, Passion, Motivation.
風 - Wind - Growth, Expansion, Freedom.
空 - Void - Also means Sky. Unlimited space, Spirituality, Creativity.
The class starts with "please." We then go through our warm-ups.
After that, we choose from learning a specific Aikido martial arts technique, a super fun Aikido game, or sometimes even "pretend sword" practice.
But we ALWAYS keep in mind kindness and compassion. Aikido is designed to protect not only us but our training partner, as well. This is why it is often referred to as "The Art of Peace".

Additional details:
They need to wear clothes that are comfortable. If they can be on a carpet, rather than a hard floor, they might be more comfortable. If not, no problem. If they have a martial arts uniform, they of course are welcome to wear it. IFFF they have a "bokken" (wooden sword) or toy sword, they should have it ready IN CASE we use it. If they don't have one and we decide to do sword practice, no worries. They can use a wooden spoon from the kitchen, or simply pretend. If you'd like to purchase either a uniform or wooden sword before the class, just text or call us at 424-209-2083 and we'll be happy to send you one.

Register your hyper little one in a martial arts class—from the comfort of your own living room! Aikido Kenkyukai International is a martial arts studio for kids (ages 3-16) that offers online sessions where kids can learn techniques from their own homes. Online sessions feature games and fun activities, and integrate traditional Aikido principles and movements. Kids will also learn confidence, discipline and respect—both inside and outside of the dojo in this open, encouraging environment.
