January is one of our coldest months – and a perfect time to read Eric Carle’s famous Polar Bear, Polar Bear! This lesson will combine the classic book with the National Museum of Natural History’s collection of Arctic specimens. Museum Visit: National Museum of Natural History

For February: Tiny Painters
It’s never too early to start painting! This class is designed to introduce your toddler to the tools and materials that painters use. For March: Little Cloud
Build upon your child’s growing imagination by exploring the ever changing shapes of clouds while reading Eric Carle’s Little Could. We will explore the types of clouds before heading to the National Gallery of Art. Museum Visit: National Gallery of Art – West

We really enjoyed the toddler class. Lots of hands on and active content, and the segments were just long enough to keep my 13 mo interested. We'll be back!

Editor’s Tip
For us, it is exciting to see the impact that museums can have in the lives of our youngest learners. Not only are children exposed to art, history, and science of their own culture, but they also are able to gain an understanding of our global society.
