Extend the fun for your family and little ones between 2- 6 by joining us for our first Jr. Zoo Club as part of your Family Day Adventure! Tickets include everything for family day (details below) plus you’ll be among first to experience this new program which includes playtime in our Discovery Center without the crowds, meeting animals in a more intimate setting, and hearing stories. Limited Space! 3:15pm-4:00pm.
Tickets include:
- Admission for the day,
- Meeting an animal up close at one of our Animal Encounters
- Special activities around the zoo,
- A scavenger hunt and prize, and a meet a live animal up close at one of our encounters.
Check in anytime between 10:00am and 2:30pm. Animal encounters times: 10:30, 11:00, 11:30, 1;00, 1:30, 2:00, 2:30, 3:00. Each has a 40 person capacity, first come first served.

Prospect Park Zoo is a family-friendly zoo in NYC's beautiful Prospect Park in the Prospect Lefferts Gardens neighborhood of Brooklyn. When the Wildlife Conservation Society assumed control of the Prospect Park Zoo in 1993, they designed it to allow up-close animal viewing—perfect for families with young children who want to learn about wildlife. Comprised of 12 acres and home to nearly 400 animals (150 species!), Prospect Park Zoo offers tons of kid's programming, from hands-on activities to camps to birthday parties.
The zoo lets you escape the city as you explore the Discovery Trail encountering red panda, dingo, and a host of beautiful birds. Or you can visit some unique small cats—the Pallas’s cats (the original grumpy cats) and black-footed cats. Or, even, make sure to take in a sea lion feeding while you take a break for your own lunch. There’s always a way to connect with the natural world at the Prospect Park Zoo.
