About
Sew Creative Café was started as a children's sewing school in the South Bay of Los Angeles in 1989 as 'Sew Fun, Sew Easy.' It became Sew Creative Café in 2003 when it was purchased by Joyce Zappellini, who had been teaching for Sew Fun, Sew Easy for years, and moved it to its current (larger) location at 1726 Aviation Blvd., Redondo Beach, California.

We also teach classes to adults as well, and we started doing Custom Embroidery in 2004.

We pride ourselves in passing along the skills of sewing, quilting, to kids starting at the age of 6, and knitting and crochet at the age of 8. Our objective is to teach these skills in a non-competitive environment and to encourage kids to work at their own pace. We love to watch them growing in self-esteem and self-confidence as their skills improve. We know that some of our students are going to do amazing things in these fields!
