Editor’s Tip
In September 2003, Instrutor Mucuiù opened “Arte Capoeira Center”, NYC’s first studio specialized in capoeira regional and Brazilian performing arts. He says “I love teaching capoeira, it is a sport and a cultural activity. It is a unique combination that enriches people’s lives and creates a sense of community, that is often lacking in such a big city as NYC”. When he is not travelling to Brazil to train, he teaches at the Arte Capoeira Center.
