FunArtFaktory SCHOOL DAYS-OFF CAMP 2018- 2019

ABOUT OUR CAMP
Our FunArtFaktory School Days-Off Camp offers a well-rounded program of fun, enriching, and engaging activities for young children in a positive, nurturing, and creative environment. Kids will explore and develop skills in different interactive recreational activities, including visual arts, drawing and painting, arts and crafts, music, singing, song-writing, musical instruments, dance, creative movement, theatre, reading, story-telling, STEAM activities, and more. This is also balanced with plenty of fun creative play, games, and other entertaining and cheerful activities.

Each School Day-Off or Recess Week will feature a different theme depending on the celebrating holiday and/or season which will be incorporated into all DAILY ACTIVITIES.
CAMP ACTIVITIES
In our unique School Days-Off camp adventure, our young artists-in-the-making will have a blast as they:
Create many arts and craft projects through drawing, painting, mixed-media, up-cycling, and more using child-friendly mediums such as pencils, crayons, acrylics, pastels, collage, paper, and canvas
Learn about music, music sounds, musical instruments, tunes, beats, singing, stage play, and performance
Practice authentic self-expression through visual arts, movement, music, reading, story-telling, curiosity-enhancing circle discussions, and more
Explore engineering and building skills through creative STEAM activities
Move and groove through dance and creative movement
Creative play, free play, peer-play, and mind-challenging games

OUR MISSION: CREATIVITY!
At OKABALOO, everyone is an artist! Engaging in creative interaction is directly linked to boosting children’s confidence by bringing out personality strengths. It teaches kids how to make their own choices, express their emotions, and enhances their attention to details.
All our camp students will feel empowered and inspired as they explore their innate talents and discover new ones. They will feel proud of themselves as they walk out our doors with beautiful projects to share at home, every day!
WHAT’S INCLUDED
We make summer camp as easy and affordable as possible for parents by providing all of the following:
All materials and supplies are included, along with a Personal Camp Folder for each child.
Nut-free, healthy organic snacks, organic juice, and water are provided!
Meals are not provided, so each camper should bring his or her own lunch in a labeled lunch box along with a labeled water bottle.
We offer flexible registration options to meet your needs. You can sign up daily or weekly. We can accommodate Early Drop Off/Late Pick Up options for an additional fee.
No registration fee!

OKABALOO #FunArtFaktory - The Arts & Fun Gallery is an inspiring arts space in Astoria, Queens for NYC kids to explore their innate creativity, develop new skills, create lasting friendships, boost self-confidence, and above all, have fun! With a bright, carefully-designed spacious studio, Okabaloo provides tons of unique, enriching kids classes and activities (in art, reading and storytelling, movement and more), an incredible after-school recreational program, summer camp, school days-off camp, monthly kids events, parents date-nights, open art play, and fantastic kids birthday parties. Okabaloo also hosts many networking and community events, and also offers space rental for private events. Though they focus on children, there is truly something for everyone at Okabaloo.
