About
Broadway to Rockettes Jr. / Tap is a extension of Broadway to Rockettes-- a high energy dance class continuing to introduce your child to the magic of Musical Theater. Taught by Broadway Performer and former 'Rockette' Jessica McRoberts, she takes the kids through the basics of jazz, tap and ballet all through songs from The Great White Way. In this second level, we will start to explore tap sounds using our tap shoes.
When to arrive:
10 minutes before
Additional details:
Please come ready to dance in your favorite dance attire; tutus are always a plus! Ballet and tap shoes required (but not for your first class ). Please bring strollers to second floor (compact strollers ideal as there is no elevator).

Teacher had good control over class. Would be nice if they had extra shoes for non regular students

Teacher is experienced and great. There was an attentive assistant as well. Monday class seems to be more advanced (not for beginner 2-3 yr old). Buggy space is super limited so bring foldable if at all. NO elevator and venue on 2-3rd floor. I would say ok to bring younger siblings if containable in a carrier, otherwise might be stressful for Mommy.

Register your little one in a class at Broadway to Rockettes in Manhattan's Upper West side—a high energy dance class for toddlers ages two to four. Taught by Broadway Performer and former Rockette, Jessica McRoberts, this class is perfect for your budding star! This fun environment is the perfect way to introduce little ones to the magic of Musical Theater through a combination of creative movement, jazz, tap and ballet. The class also allows little ones to sing and dance however they want—no judgement allowed! Through interactive activities, little ones will have the opportunity to interact with others, make new friends, develop self confidence and develop an early appreciation for the arts that they will carry with them throughout their entire lives.

Jessica McRoberts has had the pleasure of performing over the past 20 years on Broadway, National Broadway Tours, and some of the finest Regional theaters in the country as well as appearances on great stages in NYC such as Radio City Music Hall, Carnegie Hall and City Center.
