Class begins with a five minute dynamic warm-up followed by the core of the workout which includes intervals of running (walking if needed) and fitness stations that will focus on strength and conditioning exercises, many in the form of intervals such as HIIT, Tabatas, AMRAPs (or SLAMRAPs as we like to call them!), and more! The final 10-15 minutes of class focuses on strengthening the core, the muscles that are used and abused during pregnancy and childbirth and while caring for your children. Class is challenging and our aim is to SWEAT LIKE A MOTHER. There are modifications for every exercise so moms of all fitness levels are challenged and feel comfortable.
Bring a jogging stroller, yoga mat or towel, set of dumbbells, resistance band, water, snacks and toys for baby, and a need to S.L.A.M.!
Additional details:
Bring a stroller, resistance band, and a set of hand weights (anywhere between 3 and 12 pounds each). A jogging stroller is recommended but not necessary. Just be sure the stroller you are using is sturdy. You must wear athletic shoes and bring a towel or mat for the ground exercises and plenty of water.
