Each class is a world of discovery and adventure!

We sing, imitate sounds with visuals, identify beats and rhythms, lear about different instruments and music from around the world, and get a chance to explore while learning vocabulary, timing and spatial awareness, and end class on a high note by singing fun songs with live guitar!!

You'll witness your child's developmental progress in language skills, literacy, listening, problem-solving, social skills, self-esteem, emotional connections, and
musicality. And it happens within a nurturing environment; full of energy,
imagination, music, dancing, and playful delight.

The space is big since it is a dance school. But only 2 other kids there. The activities are fun but I mean, just 3 kids. The vibe is not exciting...

The class was pretty decent but I felt like the owner wanted to sell me her package instead of letting me continue using kidpass for her classes. I had the same experience at funzy play in newport, NJ, when I tried to call them about the classes. I’m hoping your other classes won’t be similar.

A Sound Start is an Early Childhood Music School based in Jersey City, New Jersey, that gives children the wonderful gift of music. At A Sound Start, your children aged 0-4 will start a wonderful musical journey that will benefit them and last a lifetime! The curriculum of the classes is tailored so that each child has a unique experience—every single time—and of course, mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, and nanny are part of the family and join in on the fun too! A Sound Start classes are developmentally appropriate built to nurture language skills, social interactions, fine and gross motor skills, creativity and reasoning—all using music as the medium. While babies get used to music with different textures and sounds, toddlers get to play with songs, puppets, props instruments and more! All classes are "Parent and Caregiver" style, and taught by musical professionals.
