About
This class explores musical concepts such as tempo, dynamics, and timbre through musical activities and games. Students will also be introduced to many different types of instruments. During certain classes, BMS instructors will attend classes to introduce and demonstrate a variety of instruments. Early Musicianship provides a musical foundation for students and acts as a great jumping off point for private music lessons with BMS music teachers in a range of instruments that they will try out in this course.

Editor’s Tip
Founded in 1912, The Brooklyn Music School owns and operates a historic four-story building in Fort Greene that contains twenty-four classrooms, three dance studios, and a professional 266-seat Spanish-style theatre.
