About
Are you hoping to expand your child’s vocabulary and the ability to express in a fun natural way? This class will use pictures and fun to encourage your child to discuss what they see. I will be utilizing age and ability appropriate “blooms taxonomy" questions to encourage conversation and develop thinking skills. I believe education should be both educational and fun. About
Lisa’s 30 plus year teaching career makes her an ideal teacher for all ages. She has both a bachelor’s degree in education and a certificate in “Teaching English as a Foreign Language”. Most of Lisa’s teaching experience has been overseas where she taught English in China, Tunisia, and Jordan. Lisa also has experience as a fourth-grade teacher in a public-school setting in the US. These experiences have broadened her understanding of kids from all over the world.

Online teaching is another part of Lisa’s resume. Lisa has taught international children of various ages through an online platform for over two years. During those years, she used colorful props, exciting rewards, and cheerful songs to teach kids English in the most engaging ways possible. Online teaching is both similar and different than in person teaching, but Lisa has been able to adapt and successfully teach over 379 young students.

Homeschooling her own three children has been a privilege Lisa doesn’t take for granted. During those years, Lisa employed many hands-on activities to reinforce various concepts. During that time, she also taught other students in a homeschool co-op.

If you choose Lisa as your child's teacher, she promises to present a well-prepared lesson with props and fun activities. Lisa believes that learning should be both educational and enjoyable.
