About
Inside Out Tours offers off-the-beaten-path and hidden history sightseeing tours of New York City. Founded by two native New Yorkers, our tours highlight establishments that locals frequent and share a common theme of civic responsibility. You do not simply observe from a distance on our tours, rather taste regional food, see the historic homes of jazz greats, listen to gospel music, view street art and visit famous landmarks, all while immersing yourself in the city’s vibrant and diverse neighborhoods. We take pride in our social mission: to tell the stories of people who have made a difference in New York City history, and believe in using tourism to empower communities and preserve their cultural traditions and historical sights.

Through partnerships and donations, Inside Out Tours supports charitable organizations, with a special emphasis on cultural institutions and youth programs. From local churches to small businesses, we have forged a relationship of trust with residents and institutions throughout the five boroughs.
