Learn about the variety of life living in the ocean, through the context of popular Pokemon.
This course has 4 parts to it. The first three parts consist of a downloadable video presentation (between 39 and 42 minutes long) hosted on Google Drive, along with some resources and extension activities. The third part is a DIY Pokemon project idea to expand the students’ understanding.
This course includes a wide variety of sea creatures, and a few freshwater fish, too! Student will explore their characteristics and compare them to their Pokemon counterparts. They'll also learn a bit about how the complexities of classifying such a wide variety of underwater organisms.
Please note, marine mammals (such as whales) and marine reptiles (such as sea turtles) are not included in this course, but are instead discussed in the Pokemon mammal and reptile classes. (These are also available on KidPass.)

Part 2: (42 minutes)
- Chordata continued (sea horses, rays, sharks, eels)
- Phylum Mollusca (octopi, slugs, snails)
Part 3: (39 minutes)
- Phylum Cnidaria (coral, jellyfish)
- Phylum Annelida (tube worms)
- Echinodermata (star fish, sea urchin)
- Phylum Arthropoda (crabs, lobsters)
Part 4: DIY Pokemon Project
