This is a special FREE online class presented by KidPass Live Stage (https://kidp.as/live). KidPass Live Stage is a free livestream series that is open for the community and showcases many of the incredible classes and instructors on KidPass.
Ages 3-7 come one come all!
Whether you have a struggling reader, a beginning reader, or a child whose first language is not English, this class is just what you need. Learning to read does not have to be tedious or a chore. It can be loads of fun! Join me for a fun time of songs and sounds and learning a few phonics basics (and two sight words). By the end of class kids will be able to read more than one simple sentence, after only learning a few letters and sounds.
A fun and fresh approach that takes the stress out of learning. Kids will come away from class feeling accomplished and good about themselves!
Note that as a KidPass Live Stage performance, this class and your participation may be posted on KidPass social media. Since it is formatted for a large audience, there will be limited instructor interaction. About
Sherri Atwell is a passionate, energetic, and resourceful instructor with over 30 years of experience teaching. If you ask Sherri what two things she loves to do the most, her answer is “Teaching and Reading!”.
For as long as she can remember, Sherri wanted to become a teacher. One of the first gifts she asked for was a chalkboard so she could “play teacher” with her friends. Sherri has a Bachelors of Science in Education as well as TEFL and TESOL certifications. Her recent endeavors include working for a Youth Theater and teaching homeschoolers online. Currently she teaches for a private online Preschool stateside, as well ESL with two organizations in China.
Sherri’s deepest desire is to develop a love of learning in all her students. Here is what parents have to say about Sherri:
