Beginner swimming for students who are confident in the water and ready to expand on their fundamental aquatic locomotion and safety skills. Student will continue to learn rhythmic breathing, gliding and kicking on front and back to build up a tolerance for distance swimming. After taking this class, students should be able to:
-Swim without aids (4-6 feet)
-Roll over from front to back and vice versa
-Combine stroke on front and back (arms and legs coordination)
-Jump and dive from sitting position

Enter the building at 25 Greenwich St and please sign in with the security attendant. The pool is located on the ground floor down the hallway to your left. Locker rooms are on the right hand side.Please note that swimming caps must be worn by all swimmers and that swimmers who are not fully toilet trained are required to wear a swim diaper in addition to a bathing suit. The pool temperature is typically set to 82 degrees, although temperature varies slightly from location to location. Infants and small children may be more comfortable in a wetsuit or rash guard.
