Teacher Jefrey is a pianist, singer, and general music educator based in Brooklyn, NY.
Having graduated summa cum laude in 2017 with a degree in Music Teacher Education from West Chester University of Pennsylvania (WCU), Jefrey has studied various methods and approaches to illustrating musical concepts including music theory, music history, ear training, and applied lessons in voice and all major instruments.
During his time at WCU, Jefrey performed in multiple choirs and small ensembles both affiliated and unaffiliated with the school. In university choirs, he was often featured as a soloist and was the tenor section leader in his final year. Additionally, he conducted and directed church choir rehearsals and performances in that time.
Jefrey has over two years of experience teaching students of all ages both privately and in the classroom. In addition to teaching high school courses in piano, choral arts, and general theory, he has taught general music from Kindergarten to fifth grade as well as conducted choir rehearsals at Easton Arts Academy in Pennsylvania. Currently, Jefrey is teaching private lessons for all ages at the award-winning Anahid Syourapian Piano School.
Jefrey believes that everybody, no matter how young or old, is an artist and has a musician waiting inside of them. He is excited to help each of his students find that inner musician and achieve their own individual goals.
