Chinese folklore has been a part of their culture since the beginning of time and still shape its modern society. One folklore topic that will be discussed is dragons. Dragons were thought to be both protectors and evildoers in ancient Chinese culture. The color of the dragon represented its realm of specialty. During this activity, we will take a trip back in time as I tell a Chinese folklore story about dragons. Also, I will pick two specific dragons from Chinese folklore and teach about what these creatures appearance, their symbolism, etc . This activity is in connection to a larger thirteen week course named "Jackie Chan, Dragons and Dumplings: A Journey to the East through learning Mandarin Chinese and Chinese Culture".
