Chinese folklore has been a part of their culture since the beginning of time and still shape its modern society. One folklore topic that will be discussed is dragons. Dragons were thought to be both protectors and evildoers in ancient Chinese culture. The color of the dragon represented its realm of specialty. During this activity, we will take a trip back in time as I tell a Chinese folklore story about dragons. Also, I will pick two specific dragons from Chinese folklore and teach about what these creatures appearance, their symbolism, etc . About
Hello,
My name is Ty Manning. I was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. My favorite sport is rugby. I played rugby in college for two years. My favorite types of food are Korean BBQ and soul food. I do not have any pets, but my favorite animal is a piglet because it is so adorable and intelligent. I enjoy teaching and getting to know people, so be ready to tell me a little about yourself.

I received a Bachelor of Arts major concentration in History and minor concentration in Mandarin Chinese from a small private Ohio liberal arts university. Additionally, I received a Master of Arts with a concentration in Legal and Ethical Studies in 2018. I began teaching roughly five years at a non profit and recently became a certified substitute teacher for a school district. My teaching experience has covered subjects like Madarin Chinese, History, Social Studies and Mental Health. I enjoy teaching because it gives me an opportunity to spark an individual's interest in a subject and to learn from my students. Honestly, teaching has and will always be a passion of mine.
