About
So wait a minute. We’re mammals and so are whales? Come learn the amazing things we have in common with the world’s largest, fastest, and fuzziest animals on the planet! Humans are only one of nearly 6500 species of mammal non Earth. We share more traits with our mammalian friends than you think! From the dolphins in the sea to the monkeys in the tree, we have a lot to learn about our close relatives.

This is just the first of a series about mammals. It’s time to learn about why platypuses are mammals, why seahorses aren’t, and what in the world goes on inside a chimpanzee’s head! Watch as Jasmyne illustrates the five traits of a mammal, and at the end of the lesson, get ready to build your own mammal! Take what you learned and imagine and draw up your own mammal with Jasmyne! Use your imagination to dream up an animal that makes you giddy with excitement! I personally love picturing a purple polka-dotted elephant creature with a mermaid tail and long eyelashes! The only limit is what your animal needs to be a mammal. Jasmyne will help you along the way.

About
Jasmyne has been teaching children of all ages (4-18) for over 10 years in various settings: zoos and aquariums, classrooms, laboratories, sailboats, etc. Teaching in so many different environments has inspired her teaching to be different, exciting, and unique. Learning should be worldly and fun! Jasmyne teaches marine biology, zoology, geology, world languages (including Latin), art history, and Greek mythology!

TATE is short for meditate! Before and after each lesson, Jasmyne reserves time to do a short breathing exercise with the students. With short meditations, a child’s short-term focus and retention will improve.

Let’s get ready to relax, learn, socialize, and have fun in the safety and comfort of our homes.
