Do you have a child that is fascinated by the magical movement the ribbon? Now you can learn the graceful movement Chinese ribbon dance Mandarin from the comfort your home without travel to China!

Mei-Yin has taught her popular Chinese ribbon dance routine all over schools, arts institutions, museums in NYC. Now she is bringing it online to help your little one learn how to twirl swirl the ribbon to form pattern design in the air. Young learners will learn Mandarin, basic Chinese dance training, and ribbon dance in these three-month-long classes. Mandarin lessons such as Self-introduction, counting, action words, animals, and nature will be introduced in this class using the ribbon dance movement.

This is a 30 min beginner class that meets once to two times a week. Children are encouraged to sign up for the whole three months semester since the lesson progress from week to week.

An award-winning movement and language specialist with a professional background in the performing arts, Mei-Yin offers early childhood pedagogy (Montessori and Reggio) and Mandarin linguistics for young children. Mei-Yin has 23 years of experience with proven pedagogical methods that engage and inspire students to absorb lessons readily.

Note that as a KidPass Live Stage performance, this class and your participation may be posted on KidPass social media. Since it is formatted for a large audience, there will be limited instructor interaction. Mei-Yin has 23 years of experience with proven pedagogical methods that engage and inspire students to absorb lessons readily.

Using Montessori and Reggio's pedagogical knowledge, Mei-Yin guides young children to acquire writing skills, become comfortable with math, and grow their creativity in positive environments that incorporate their five senses.

She also offers classes in Chinese dance, providing children with opportunities to learn through two languages: Mandarin and the universal language of dance.

Always cheerful and positive, Mei-Yin is wonderful at encouraging children as they learn to speak a new language and gain new skills.
