This is a special FREE online class presented by KidPass Live Stage (https://kidp.as/live). KidPass Live Stage is a free livestream series that is open for the community and showcases many of the incredible classes and instructors on KidPass.

Can you guess the sounds in the mystery bag today? Get ready for some high-energy FUN and LEARNING!! Children will ACTIVELY engage in pre-reading activities including phonemic awareness, letter identification, letter/sound correspondence, segmenting and building words with sounds, and identifying BEGINNING LETTER SOUNDS. Don't miss this highly interactive and visually engaging lesson.

As a master teacher, Laurie has had the opportunity to teach with unique populations of students in a variety of learning settings. Inner city Baltimore, Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC, New Dominion Wilderness School, the National Park Service, and Allegany County Public Schools in Maryland have offered her a wide variety of professional opportunities to meet the needs of children with diverse needs.

As a certified teacher in the areas of Special Education, Elementary Education, and Reading, she has found her true calling is with working with students who have often struggled to learn in typical classroom environments. She is passionate about understanding each students needs and providing engaging and meaningful educational experiences to help students learn and realize their potential for success. She puts kids FIRST and has a knack for communicating and building relationships with students; ultimately empowering them to gain confidence and take charge of their learning. In her current job, she is known for her strong work ethic, boundless energy, a knack with technology, jovial sense of humor, and a true love of teaching.
