This is a special FREE online class presented by KidPass Live Stage (https://kidp.as/live). KidPass Live Stage is a free livestream series that is open for the community and showcases many of the incredible classes and instructors on KidPass.
This class is intended for the elementary-aged learner who is curious about what lessons a panda can teach them. So what exactly is the meaning of Zen Shorts? "Zen shorts" are short meditations--ideas to puzzle over. Ms. M. will take students on an adventure with Addy, Michael, and Karl who meet an intriguing panda named Stillwater. Stillwater tells stories about people who feel and act in different ways than most of us do. Ms. M. will do a picture walk before reading Zen Shorts aloud. Afterwards, we'll explore and talk about our own emotions and finally we will design and illustrate our own versions of Stillwater the panda. Students will explore ways to approach their own emotions in a light, illustrative way.
Note that as a KidPass Live Stage performance, this class and your participation may be posted on KidPass social media. Since it is formatted for a large audience, there will be limited instructor interaction.
