This is a special FREE online class presented by KidPass Live Stage (https://kidp.as/live). KidPass Live Stage is a free livestream series that is open for the community and showcases many of the incredible classes and instructors on KidPass.
Do you have a kid who want to sing about and learn about cats?
Would they enjoy the opportunity to 'network' with other cat-owning kids?
Mr. Dave teaches fun songs in english and other languages which will quickly become your childrens' favorites to sing to their cats. We will learn about cat history, listen to Mr. Dave tell exciting or funny stories about cats and everyone gets a chance to talk about their cat and show him/her off - all from the comfort of your own computer!
Although this is a six week class, drop-ins are encouraged and welcomed!
Dave has over 20 years experience teaching young children and is the author of the books "Mr Fluff and the Tall Tower" and "Mr. Fluff and the Music Students" which are based on his own cat, Tigger - who will be visiting us during some classes (when he's not napping).
This class focuses on strengthening childrens' communication and verbal skills as they will be encouraged ask and answer questions from Mr. Dave and other students about their cat. Cats have been around as in human society as long as anyone can remember and there have been many songs and stories written about them!
This is an online class that is hosted on the KidPass Digital Platform, which uses Zoom. Upon booking, you will receive a link to access the class in your booking confirmation email. Simply click on the link when it’s time for your class. Please download Zoom prior to the start of the class.
Note that as a KidPass Live Stage performance, this class and your participation may be posted on KidPass social media. Since it is formatted for a large audience, there will be limited instructor interaction. If you enjoy the class, please visit the instructor's KidPass page where you can find other class offerings and formats including small-group, interactive classes. David has been working with young singers ages 8-18 who are among the Best and the Brightest the St. Louis and Southern Illinois areas - as well as young Singers all ages who desire to rise to the next level their - for over 15 years.
Growing up in New York City, David Bennett Brandt was able to see many broadway musicals and attended French Woods Festival the Performing Arts Camp in upstate New York for many years. He received an M.A. in Educational Administration from Lindenwood University and worked as a Music Teacher in the Missouri public school system for thirteen years. David has had years experience working around St. Louis as a Music , Voice Coach and Musician.
He serves as the Executive and Music at Rockshow Productions, a performing arts program for young people and is committed to encouraging young people while helping them to achieve their personal goals.
David is the author the Adventures Mr. Fluff book series, the humorous memoir and Sniffing Butts: A year in the life an Elementary Music School Teacher. He is the co-host Beatles .25, a podcast about the Beatles and has several piano tutorials rock and broadway songs on his Youtube channel Piano Toolbox.
