SUMMER KIDS ONLINE Painting Masterclass

About
This is an awesome painting class for Kids who are showing great potential in art already. We will begin the course with practical drawing exercises (in preparation for painting) with an introduction to vocabulary & tools. Exploratory work in shading, perspective, value & light source. Discussions & demo on composition, negative space & proportion- these classic exercises help student’s learn how to see shape and form. We will move on to painting and explore color theory, application & brushwork in different painting styles & genres: for example looking at abstraction vs. realism. We will look at master artists, both past & present for inspiration - Picasso, Basquiat, Jackson Pollack etc and discuss their techniques, styles & special effects, and then learn how to employ these into our own work to free up creative expression. In depth personal critiques will be included with final projects culminating in finished paintings. Students will choose their own personal themes for subject matter. Prior drawing & painting experience is useful for this class, but not essential, it is mainly for students who simply LOVE to paint! Beginner- Intermediate students.

Our studio is open 7 days a week mornings, afternoons + evenings for your convenience.

We also offer a small selection of Online programing for Teens and online private tuition for all age groups.
