About
Upper Manhattan Forest Kids provides outdoor caregiver/child classes based on the Danish Forest Kindergarten model for children ages 0 - 4 years old. Our classes allow young people the opportunity to connect with nature and gain confidence. They climb rocks, explore nature, run free and get their hands dirty. Learning is child driven and although each two-hour class session employs a theme and optional activity for exploration, the day is really led by the children. As we walk and explore Central Park together, parents and guardians support the children’s free play. Yet, interruption is always minimal. We enjoy a snack of Danish rye bread and butter, accompanied by a story. Then we complete each class singing our Goodbye Song.

Additional details:
We meet just inside the park at the 108th Street entrance on Central Park West.Please come prepared with: rain pants, rain coat, rain boots, layered clothing, a change of clothes down to an extra pair of socks and shoes (just in case).
