About
Step into an engaging environment in which the beginner gymnast can explore the basics of rhythmic gymnastics using props such as balls, scarves, or stuffed animals. Our coaches lead gymnasts through stretches, body skills, and apparatus tricks, improving the child’s strength, flexibility, and coordination. This class is centered on acquiring basic techniques, but we will also work on learning fun skills like bridges, splits, candlesticks, and handstands. Through games, contests, dance, and one on one interaction, your child will be inspired to practice more and keep moving!

Sample Skills Learned:
Splits
Bridge with leg up
Handstand, candlestick
A-Level turns, balances, and jumps
Ball tosses, rolls, bounces
Rope jumping
And more…

Equipment Needed:
Starter Kit
A ball
A stuffed animal
Jump rope (optional)
Comfortable clothes (leotard if you have one)
Yoga mat, or small space in a carpeted area
Zoom app, which we recommend to run through a computer or tablet for better viewing for your child

Parental Involvement: This class is designed to keep your child engaged with no parental involvement. Parents do have the option to help their child with stretches and basic skills, but this is not required.
